GRATSI LAUNCHES OLIVE OIL, EXPANDING ITS 3L BOX FORMAT TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS
Two Greek extra virgin olive oils for cooking and finishing stay fresh for up to 18 months after opening
AUSTIN, Texas — Oct. 13, 2026 — Gratsi, the fastest-growing 3L boxed wine brand in the U.S. per Nielsen, is expanding beyond wine with the launch of two extra virgin olive oils packaged in the same 3L bag-in-box format the brand is known for.
The olive oils extend Gratsi's mission to introduce authentic Mediterranean staples. Gratsi Cooking Oil and Gratsi Finishing Oil, both available now at gratsi.com, are 100% Greek, early-harvest, cold-extracted and unfiltered. Both are high in polyphenols, the naturally occurring antioxidants that contribute to olive oil's flavor and peppery finish.
While bag-in-box packaging has primarily been associated with bulk use, Gratsi is applying the format to two premium oils made for everyday cooking at home. The format is built to protect the oil. The box keeps out light and limits exposure to oxygen, the two primary causes of olive oil degradation, giving the oils a much longer shelf life than glass or plastic packaging.
Gratsi Cooking Oil is a Greek blend harvested in mid-November, while the olives are still green. Mild and smooth, with a soft almond note and gentle peppery finish, it is made for sautéing, roasting, baking, eggs and sheet-pan dinners. It contains 309 mg/kg of polyphenols and sells for $85 per 3L box.
Gratsi Finishing Oil is a single-varietal oil made entirely from Greek Koroneiki olives. Harvested at the end of October, it has a bolder, grassy and peppery character with notes of almond and olive leaf. Designed for drizzling over salads, grilled vegetables, fish, soup or dishes straight from the oven, it contains 525 mg/kg of polyphenols and sells for $95 per 3L box.
"We built our olive oil with the same authenticity and standards we built our wine with," said Stephen Vlahos, founder and CEO of Gratsi. "It comes from real Greek groves, grown by families who’ve been doing this for generations, 100% Greek, cold extracted, nothing unnecessary. Even the box works the same way, keeping light and oxygen out so quality lasts. It just made sense as the next thing on the table."
The two oils are also available together for $165. All three purchase options are available by subscription at approximately 10% off. Gratsi is also offering select customers limited-edition ceramic and squeeze bottles, made for keeping a smaller pour of oil on the counter for everyday cooking.
