Old Mill Goods: How A Nurse's Century-Old Recipes Sparked A New Food Brand
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Old Mill Goods Debuts With the First Cycle-Supportive Müesli Line For Women.Functional breakfast blends designed to nourish the body and the rhythm of life, one spoonful at a time.
[Roswell, NM — June 2025] — Old Mill Goods, a heritage-inspired food brand rooted in nourishment through functional ingredients and purposeful recipes, is proud to announce the launch of its first product line: The Heritage Collection, a cycle-supportive, pre and probiotic-infused müesli designed to support women through functional, whole-food ingredients.
At the heart of the brand is a forgotten story inspired by the journals of Nurse Abigail, a New Mexican 20th-century healer who studied in Switzerland alongside Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner (the alleged inventor of müesli). Old Mill Goods blends the old-world spirit of Swiss apothecaries with the modern science of gut and women’s wellness.
“We didn’t want to create another cereal, one that you find anywhere and is just similar to what is already out there. And we were absolutely not interested in simply repackaging the same products in soft colors to target women. We wanted to craft a daily ritual and something that truly goes back to eating for healing,” says E.V, the brand’s founder. “One rooted in rhythm and gentle care and Nurse Abigail gave us the voice to do that.”

Why Müesli? Why Now?
Old Mill Goods’ twist? Real and targeted function, storytelling, and the first hormone-supportive Müesli.*Müesli — especially in its traditional European form remains relatively unfamiliar. Add our functional, cycle-supportive twist, and we’re introducing something truly new to the breakfast aisle. Unlike granola, which is often heavily baked in oil and sugar, our müesli is gently sweetened with coconut sugar and enjoyed cold with milk or yogurt, or lightly soaked preserving the benefits of live cultures and supporting gentle digestion.
In recent years, the wellness culture has gone all-in on protein oftentimes at the expense of fiber-rich, gut-supportive foods. But fiber plays a critical role in hormone balance, digestion, blood sugar regulation, and long-term disease prevention especially for women. We’re launching with a fiber rich product because our founder, a woman herself, knows firsthand how a diet rich in fiber can lower the risks of developing Type 2 diabetes, colorectal cancer, and heart diseases, the leading cause of death among both women and men in the U.S.
Where to Find It
The Heritage Collection is available now via Kickstarter for early backers and soon on oldmillgoods.com. Each bag retails for $9.99, with 50¢ from each product sold being donated to local rescue groups helping the homeless pets of Roswell, New Mexico — the city where Old Mill Goods was born.

While Nurse Abigail is fictional — and Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner is widely credited with the invention of Müesli — our products, team, and mission are very real.
Because sometimes, the best things in life come from stories that could have been true… and maybe should have been. Our team includes E.V., who bring a wealth of experience from working in startups. She now channels her passion for culture and wellness through food.
“I’ve always loved cooking, baking, and hosting. In New Mexico, you can find the space to reconnect with food — real food — and people in a way that is so beautiful. Now, I'm ready to share my recipes with everyone."
She’s also joined by two trusted advisors: a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience and a Doctor of Pharmacy with more than two decades of experience.
