DALLAS, October 1, 2024 – “We’re like a barbecue joint who smokes
chips instead of meat.”
Started in Texas and made by
burning real hickory wood, Low and Slow is the first-ever line of authentically
smoked BBQ snacks. The result? Opening a bag of Low and Slow smells like
opening the hood to your backyard smoker, or walking into your favorite BBQ
joint, an experience no other BBQ chip has ever delivered.
Last week, the company
launched its newest creation, a hickory smoked BBQ cheese puff covered in a
salty sweet rub. “Having smoked virtually every salty snack on the planet, I
can say these smoky, cheesy puffs are pretty delicious,” said Jared Drinkwater,
Co-Founder and CEO of Low and Slow Snacks. “When we sampled to a limited
audience at the Troubadour BBQ & Music Festival in College Station, TX
earlier this summer, I knew we had a hit on our hands. People couldn’t get
enough.”
The notion of smoked cheese
has been a thing for quite some time, but smoking a cheese puff, one of
America’s most popular snacks, creates an aroma and flavor experience truly
unique to the category. After a soft launch in Texas last year, Low and Slow
Hickory Smoked BBQ Cheese Puffs, as well as the company’s Hickory Smoked BBQ
Potato and Corn Chips, are now available at 301 Walmart stores in Texas and over
1,000 independent grocery stores across 11 states including LA, MN, MI, WI, KS,
MO, MT, IN, IL, NC, IA. They are also for sale on company’s website.
About Low and Slow Snacks:
What started out
as a crazy idea after dinner between great friends became an overnight
obsession to create the first and only authentic BBQ Snack food brand. Why?
Pretty simple, we love BBQ. The aroma, the smoky taste and everything else that
makes your mouth water just thinking about it. Which is why we smoke all our
products with real hickory wood, and real smoke, and then cover it with our
secret rubs that took years to get right. Because unlike all the other
"BBQ" snacks out there, we believe the only respectable way to make
BBQ anything is to smoke it Low and Slow.
