Notable New Products: Dill Pickle Chip Dip & Popcorn Pods

In this week’s notable new products roundup, Chicken of the Sea expands its on-the-go offerings with its new tuna and salmon pouches, Newman’s Own revamps its line of pasta sauces and Cheerie Lane seeks to reinvent the way consumers make popcorn.

Dr. Praeger’s

Dr. Praeger’s has expanded its portfolio of veggie burgers with the addition of its new Crunchy Burgers. Available in Crunchy Cauliflower Veggie Burger and Crunchy Southwestern Sweet Potato Burger varieties, the burgers are crafted with six different vegetables. Dr .Praeger’s Crunchy Burgers are now available at Whole Foods Market nationwide as well as H-E-B, Sprouts, Shoprite and Publix.

Cheerie Lane

Premium popcorn brand Cheerie Lane has made its debut with the launch of what it claims to be the first all-in-one “popcorn pod.” Each ear of corn-shaped pod comes individually wrapped for a pre-portioned and evenly seasoned bowl of stovetop popcorn, according to the brand.. The Classic Butter Pack yields nine servings of buttery and salty popcorn while The Harvest Pack includes one Butter Pod, one Tomato Basil Pod and Rosemary Garlic pod (3 servings of each).

Good Foods

Better-for-you dips and spreads maker Good Foods has debuted Dill Pickle Chip Dip, the first product in its new chip-inspired dip line. Packed with flavors such as dill and Dijon mustard, Good Foods Dill Pickle Chip Dip is available at Target stores nationwide for $4.49 per 8 oz. tub.

Chicken of the Sea

Chicken of the Sea is expanding its on-the-go offerings with the launch new tuna pouches. To bring in new flavors, three new Wild Caught Tuna Packets (Lemon Garlic, Thai Kitchen Sweet & Spicy and Dill Tuna Salad), two of which are made in collaboration with seasoning brand McCormick. Additionally, the brand launched three new Chicken of the Sea Packet varieties – Light Tuna in Spring Water, Maple Smokehouse Alaskan Pink Salmon and Wild Caught Alaskan Pink Salmon. The new offerings will be available online and in-store at retailers nationwide beginning this month.

Newman’s Own

As part of its “Radically Good” brand refresh, Newman’s Own has unveiled new and improved recipes for its Marinara, Tomato & Basil, Sockarooni, Roasted Garlic and Fire Roasted Tomato and Organic Marinara, Organic Tomato & Basil and Organic Olive Oil, Basil & Garlic pasta sauces. The new recipes feature carrot for sweetness and more garlic, onion and Italian-style seasoning for added flavor. Newman’s Own Pasta Sauces are now available at retailers nationwide for $3.49 per 24 oz. jar and $4.59 per 23.5 oz. organic jar.

Dripkit x La Colombe

La Colombe has teamed up with Dripkit, a coffee co-packing and technology company, to create a co-branded single-serve pour over kit. The coffee offering, which features La Colombe’s best-selling Nizza medium roast, is expected to be released this month.

Royal

Royal has expanded its line of Ready-to-Heat products with a new White Queso & Jalapeño Seasoned Basmati Rice flavor that is now available at 700 Walmart locations across the country.

Wholly Gluten Free x Spokin

Gluten-free and allergy-friendly food maker Wholly Gluten Free is partnering with food allergy app Spokin for a new co-branded Chocolate Chunk Skillet Cookie. The new heat-and-eat baked good is currently available for purchase at Wegmans and Mother’s Market and will soon roll out to Hannaford and Earth Fare.

Nespresso x Blue Bottle

Nespresso has collaborated with Blue Bottle to launch a limited-edition capsule. Dubbed Blend No. 1, the capsule features a mix of naturally processed coffee from Ethiopia and Uganda. The new offering is compatible with Nespresso Vertuo and will be available via Nespresso’s website starting October 18.

Lavazza x Rifle Paper Co.

In collaboration with popular stationery brand Rifle Paper Co., Lavazza has brewed up a new limited edition Holiday Coffee Blend of ground coffee. Featuring tasting notes of toasted almond and warm spice, the coffee is packaged in a festive bag featuring illustrations designed by Rifle Paper’s co-founder and CCO, Anna Bond. Lavazza x Rifle Paper Co. Holiday Coffee Blend will be available at select retail partners including Target, Eataly and Epicerie Boulud for $9.99 per 10.5 oz. bag.
