Notable New Products: Halo Top Fruit Sorbets, Gummi Snaps, and Smoothie Incredibites

This week’s new food launches saw brands creating better-for-you fruity treats and new plant-based dairy alternatives. While Halo Top entered the sorbet category, CHKP Foods debuted its first-ever lineup of chickpea-based yogurt alternatives. Check out the latest from brands like MyMochi, Torie & Howard and Mother Raw.

CHKP Foods

Plant-based dairy brand CHKP Foods has released a line of protein-packed, no-dairy yogurts. Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, the yogurt is made from a base of chickpeas and is currently available in four flavors: Plain, Vanilla, Blueberry and Strawberry. The brand debuted at Natural Products Expo West earlier this month and recently launched in stores in New York City.

Woah Dough

Woah Dough, a line of plant-based, gluten free and vegan cookie dough bars, has announced the launch of new 4-packs. The bars are formulated to taste “just like homemade cookie dough” and contain several allergy-friendly ingredients including whole grain oat flour and chickpea flour. Each bar contains between 140 to170 calories per serving and can be consumed chilled, on-the-go or baked. The 4-packs are now available online for a suggested retail price of $9.99.

Halo Top

Low-sugar frozen dessert maker Halo Top launched its first sorbet option, Halo Top Fruit Sorbet pints, in Raspberry, Mango and Strawberry flavors. The product blends real fruit and fruit juice into the pints, which contain 260 calories and at least 50% less sugar than other fruit sorbets, the company claims. The frozen treat will be available at major retailers in May for a suggested retail price of $4.79 per pint.

CORE

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is the latest flavor to join CORE’s lineup of refrigerated, plant-based keto bars. The new SKUs boast 6 grams of protein, 8 grams of prebiotic fiber, 3 grams of net carbs per serving and no added sugar. CORE Foods Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bar is available now at select Walmart and Von’s stores nationwide.

MyMochi

Ice cream brand MyMochi has announced the launch of their newest snack innovation, Smoothie Incredibites. The new product consists of “real fruit puree smoothies wrapped in a pillowy blanket of mochi dough” and will be available in Strawberry Banana and Mixed Berry flavors. Each handheld snack contains 60 calories and is gluten-free, soy-free and GMO-free. MyMochi Smoothie Incredibites are set to arrive in the frozen fruit section of grocery stores this summer.

Mother Raw

Mother Raw announced the addition of plant-based Aioli Dips! to its portfolio of organic dressings, condiments and dips. Currently available in Garlic, Chipotle and Sriracha flavors, the new dips feature a creamy, whipped-like texture and are made from a combination of water and olive oil. Mother Raw Aioli Dips! can be purchased on the Mother Raw website for a MSRP of $6.99.

Justin’s

Nut butter brand Justin’s has added a new flavor – Dark Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter – to its line of refrigerated protein bars. The new offering contains 11 grams of protein per serving and is gluten and dairy-free. Additionally, the brand announced it will replace its existing packaging with a new jar made with 30% less plastic. Though the 16 oz. and 28 oz. jars will have a slightly different look, they will hold the same volume as the current jars.

Torie & Howard

Torie & Howard released Gummi Snaps, a new low-sugar, organic candy. The brightly-colored candy shelled gummies, offered in Tropical and Wild Berry flavors, are available online and in-store nationwide for an MSRP of $3.99 per 3 oz. bag.
