Yesterday, Project NOSH’s sister site BevNET reported on private equity firm KarpReilly’s purchase of food and beverage company Zola.
Zola markets acai and coconut water beverages, and last year the company launched a new line of chocolate-covered fruit snacks.
KarpReilly acquired 100 percent of the company, however, Zola CEO Chris Cuvelier and his team will be retained as part of the agreement. Among other recent KarpReilly investments, the firm led a Series A round for Mouth Foods, an ecommerce shop for indie food and beverage brands.
