Spudsy Launches Sweet Potato Scoops At Whole Foods Market

LOS ANGELES, Calif.— Spudsy, the health-forward brand that transforms upcycled sweet potatoes into delicious plant-based snacks, will debut its new Sweet Potato Scoops exclusively at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide this month. The superfood sweet potato will take the shape of a scoopable cracker in two different flavors: Sour Cream and Onion and Classic Cheddar.

In line with its trailblazing mission to “Save The Spud” and reduce food waste, Spudsy expands its variety of snacks offered at Whole Foods Market in the cracker category, saving sweet potatoes with every box created. Spudsy utilizes upcycled sweet potatoes that are deemed imperfect due to minor flaws like shape, color, and size. These unwanted “ugly spuds” are transformed into Spudsy’s tasty, vegan snacks, thus preventing them from ending up in a landfill.

“We’re thrilled to share our new Sweet Potato Scoops with Whole Foods, a consistently incredible retail partner with which we’ve enjoyed sharing our latest innovation with over the years,” says Ashley Rogers, Founder and CEO of Spudsy. “We’re eager to show consumers sustainable snacking and their favorite nostalgic flavors like they’ve never seen before.”

Spudsy Sweet Potato Scoops uniquely combine nutrient dense ingredients, bold flavor, and playful packaging to elicit the ultimate snacking experience. Like the brand’s other products, Spudsy Scoops are vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, Kosher, grain free and allergen friendly. Snackers can satisfy cravings with Spudsy’s beloved Sour Cream and Onion flavor: a familiar favorite that packs a tangy punch, and Classic Cheddar: a vegan take on cheesy decadence.

Spudsy’s new Sweet Potato Scoops can be found on shelves in Whole Foods Market stores beginning April 2023.
