Blackbird Foods Reveals Refreshed Pepperoni Pizza With Beyond Meat and New Packaging
NEW YORK, N.Y.— Blackbird Foods, the brand founded by chefs with hand-tossed frozen pizzas made from plant-based ingredients announces a new Pepperoni Pizza made with Beyond Pepperoni from Beyond Meat, a leading plant-based meat company. Blackbird originally launched Pepperoni Pizza in early 2022 and the brand is excited to take it up another notch with the debut of the new recipe.
The new Pepperoni Pizza has everything that fans love about the original pie, but now with Beyond Meat’s meaty plant-based pepperoni. With a New York-style hand-tossed crust made from overnight rising dough, this Pepperoni Pizza tastes like it has been delivered straight from your favorite pizzeria. The Beyond Pepperoni® slices are deliciously savory and have a mouth-watering flavor while the edges are perfectly crispy. The pizza has a quick baking time of only eight minutes, making it your new meal of choice during the busy holiday season and leading up to the Super Bowl. The new pepperoni pizza is also non GMO and dairy free, using all plant-based ingredients. Starting in early November, the pizza can be found on shelves in stores across the country including The Fresh Market, Central Market, Earthfare, and select regions of Whole Foods.

This update also brings new, bright and bold magenta packaging. This fresh look is eye-catching and will stand out on the shelf next to Blackbird’s other pizza varieties. The beautiful magenta shade is a familiar color to the Blackbird family as it is the same color as their Korean BBQ Wings packaging. In 2021, Blackbird rebranded from natural and neutral themed packaging to bright and colorful packaging. The rebrand has helped Blackbird products to stand out on retail shelves. Since the rebrand, Blackbird has become one of the fastest growing frozen pizza brands according to September 2023 SPINS data.
