Red Duck Foods Launches Organic Tartar Sauce

PORTLAND, Ore.– Red Duck Foods, a women-owned artisan condiment company and Certified B Corporation committed to crafting superior, non-GMO, organic condiments, proudly announces the newest member of the flock: organic tartar sauce. In addition to launching the company’s newest product, Red Duck will also unveil a fresh and playful new look at Natural Products Expo West. The new design takes off with the brand’s two seafood-friendly condiments, the new organic tartar sauce and Red Duck’s flavor-forward organic cocktail sauce (introduced in 2015).

“We’ve been working toward this tartar sauce release quite some time and couldn’t be more excited to finally share it,” said co-founder Jess Hilbert.  “Our version has no added sugar, a preference more and more consumers are gravitating toward. More importantly, it is a delicious complement to seafood, which already has a little inherent natural sweetness.  The launch of our newest products really solidifies who we are as a conscious condiment company – we complete meals for the 2019 consumer.”

Focusing on its two seafood condiments, Red Duck will sample the new organic, gluten-free tartar sauce and its popular cocktail sauce at Expo West. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce will be the first to dive into the brand’s new look, which hits store shelves this summer. Red Duck’s ketchups, barbecue sauces and taco sauces will feature the new design by the end of the year.

“Our new look rises from a desire to, in a visual form, really bring to life our company’s mission, which is to be better and inspire fun,” said Hilbert. “The clean label is reflective of our honest ingredients, and who doesn’t love a big red duck?!”

Red Duck Tartar Sauce

This sauce is a spirited take on a classic favorite.  Drawing a delightful brininess from organic capers and a zingy freshness from organic lemon, it is an ideal accompaniment to fried fish and crab cakes. Your preference for a French fry dipping sauce will never be the same.

Red Duck Cocktail Sauce

Classic, bright and zippy are the best ways to describe this take on a seafood favorite. Starting with our trusty tomato base, this sauce is layered with fresh horseradish and lemon juice, with a unique spice blend to elevate the flavor of your fresh-from-the-sea favorites.  Shrimp cocktail will become an everyday favorite, your Bloody Marys will forever be elevated, and your dips will never be flat and boring again.

The cocktail sauce is available for purchase online at Red Duck Foods, on Amazon and at grocery stores around the country – including national distribution at Sprouts Farmers Markets. The tartar sauce will be available for purchase this summer.

Red Duck puts a unique twist on familiar favorites. With a keen eye for honest ingredients and nuanced flavors, Red Duck’s artisan products elevate any meal and help to cut time spent in the kitchen. With ingredients like California tomatoes that go from field to puree in less than four hours, unique spice blends and only vinegar as a preservative, these products are on-trend staples for any household.

About Red Duck Foods

Red Duck Foods is a women-owned condiment company and Certified B Corporation based in Portland, Oregon. Founded by Jess Hilbert, Shannon Oliver and Karen Bonner in 2013 when they were graduate student classmates, their pioneering spirits believed regular condiments didn’t cut the mustard. Red Duck Ketchup, the company’s first product line, dared to elevate the popular condiment by using high-quality, organic ingredients. In 2015, Red Duck expanded its product list with the introduction of cocktail sauce. Three USDA organic BBQ Sauces joined the growing product line in May 2016, followed by three taco sauces in March 2018. Red Duck’s products bring an artisan approach to whole, honest ingredients and deliver surprisingly delicious organic condiments.
