Tessemae’s Announces Partnership with Chef Spike Gjerde

BALTIMORE — Tessemae’s, a leader in the fresh salad dressing and condiment category, have announced that they will be partnering with James Beard award winning Chef Spike Gjerde to push the clean food innovation movement even further. Tessemae’s celebrated the new partnership at Spike’s award-winning restaurant Woodberry Kitchen to announce the collaboration. Tessemae’s believes in food done right and doing the right thing not just for today but for the future.

“Authenticity, honesty, and superior quality are rare these days. Not many people see things the way we see them or if they do, they aren’t willing to act to change things for the better,” said CEO Greg Vetter.

In a food system filled with misleading information and short cuts, Tessemae’s has found themselves alone for the past 9 years innovating, educating, and leading by example. Interestingly enough, someone in Tessemae’s backyard had been doing the same thing. From the farmer, not just the farm, all the way to your table, Spike Gjerde reinvented the way farm to table should be done. Tessemae’s recognized the same commitment in Spike that had pushed them forward to become the leader in fresh organic dressings, condiments, and now produce.

“We are honored to be partnering with a thought-leader that represents in restaurants, what we put in a bottle,” said Shawn McLaughlin, Chief Growth Officer.

That like-mindedness is the foundation of the partnership and why Tessemaes.com will be bringing Spike’s bottled, canned, and preserved products of Woodberry Pantry to the world through Tessemaes.com. To kick off the partnership Tessemae’s will be selling Spike’s Snake Oil – Hot Sauce on their website Tessemaes.com. Snake Oil uses the fish pepper for its kick which is indigenous to the Mid-Atlantic region. The partnership kicks off Monday, March 19, 2018.
