Hammond’s Brands Releases New Line of Chocolate Bars

DENVER — Long known for its unique twists on old-fashioned treats, Hammond’s Brands is excited to answer growing customer demand with an expansion of its popular chocolate bar offerings. The parent company of Hammond’s Candies, Old Dominion Peanut Company, McCraw’s Candies, and Mellow Fluffs has introduced a line of uniquely flavored vertical tablet bars, which are larger than Hammond’s existing in-demand chocolate bars.

The new line features 3 oz. chocolate bars in 12 per display-ready cases, with each bar having a suggested retail price (SRP) of $3.99. Dark Salted Almond, Milk Toffee Pretzel, and Dark Sea Salt are brand new flavors, and S’mores and Pigs n’ Taters, two existing customer favorites, round out the selection in these Belgian chocolate-based treats. Dark Salted Almond is also making an appearance in the 2.25 oz. chocolate bar format, which is sold in 12 bars per display-ready case with an SRP of $2.99.

“In 2017, U.S. chocolate sales amounted to over 22 billion dollars. There’s obviously customer demand for this age-old sweet, but at Hammond’s, we don’t think that means it has to be old fashioned!” said Andrew Schuman, Hammond’s President and CEO. “We’re excited to give customers a new palate-pleasing experience while continuing our commitment to using the highest quality ingredients available.”

Hammond’s will bring samples of these new bars, as well as tastes of their other customer favorites, to the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, which takes place January 21-23, 2018. Stop by booth 324 to give them a try and to place your order in time for the Valentine’s Day sweets rush.

About Hammond’s

Hammond’s Candies began delighting candy lovers with artisan candy canes, beautifully spun ribbon candy, and larger-than-life lollipops when it was founded by the Hammond family in 1920, making it Colorado’s favorite handmade confectioner for decades. In 2007, the company became the Hammond’s that it is today through its acquisition by current President and CEO Andrew Schuman, growing from a much-loved, local candy company to a leading gourmet sweet provider with national regard (and has doubled the number of employees). Since then, Hammond’s has gone on to acquire such companies as McCraw’s Candies in 2010 and Old Dominion Peanut Company in 2012 as well as to gain impressive recognitions for their brand packaging and product innovation.
