Bono Olive Oil Available in All Wegmans Stores

AIRFIELD, N.J.  Bono – the largest producer of authentic virgin olive oil in Sicily – today announced that its premium olive oils have been added to the line-up at Wegmans, the much-admired East Coast supermarket chain.

Bono’s multi award-winning Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil and its new Sicilian Val Di Mazara Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil have been rolled out chain-wide to all 95 Wegmans stores. The Sicilian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil boasts a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) certification and the conventional Sicilian product comes with a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) certification. These certifications both guarantee authenticity controlled by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forest Policy.

“We are delighted to have our products at such an admired grocery store, and feel a particular connection to Wegmans which, like Bono, is a family-owned business that prides itself on superior quality products,” said Salvatore Russo-Tiesi, Bono’s General Manager and Director in the U.S.
