Cascadia Managing Brands Expands into Snack Food Brand Management

RAMSEY, N.J.  Cascadia Managing Brands, the leading non-alcoholic beverage Brand Management firm, is expanding into snacks.

“Bob Sipper and I cut our teeth in the beverage industry, but what most people do not know is that we also helped launch snack brands like Dirty Potato Chips, Pirate’s Booty, Bonne Maman Preserves, Frookies Cookies, and several others, “ said Managing Partner, Bill Sipper.

Sipper added, “Bob Corsaro was Executive Vice President of Carvel Ice Cream.”

Distribution consolidation has forced beverage distributors to look at selling and delivering snack foods while more and more snack and specialty food distributors now sell beverages.

“The lines have been blurred” said Sipper. “Beverage Distributors like Big Geyser and Haralambos sell more and more snack lines these days while traditional snack food distributors are also selling beverages. Both types of distributors are looking for different types of items”.

Cascadia is looking to work with companies whose items that help pioneer new snack items and snack categories and will evaluate potential opportunities the same way the select new and unique beverages: 1) Do they think the product has a reasonable chance of success? 2) Do they think the Company either has the capital or can find the capital to build the snack product? And 3) do they philosophically see eye to eye with the brand owners.

“Over the years, we could have been first to market with a few items we have seen on the international front. However, we did not move forward because we were so focused on beverages. Today, we see a greater need to help snack food brands find alternative distribution channels and retailers and with our expanded team, now is the right time for us to get re-involved with snack foods.
