Creative. Approachable. Stylish. Serious Design Chops.
I’ve moved around a bit in my career: agency art director, graphic designer, freelancer. But I’ve always been Packers’ fan. All of them come together under one roof: Bex Brands.
After graduating from University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and doing post-graduate work at the renowned Art Center of Pasadena, I found myself drawn to advertising and graphic design with that certain something. You know the kind: sharp, clever, thought-provoking — advertising and design that told a story and communicated with style and panache.
I did a stint as a full-time art director before busting out of the cubicle to become a freelance art director and designer. During this period, I worked with some very cool and madly respected ad agencies and graphic design studios in Los Angeles and with some brands you might have heard of: ESPN, Disney, FOX Sports and Coors Light.
In 2000, I moved to San Diego and founded Becky Nelson Creative. Since then, I have established a roster of clients that include (past and present): TaylorMade, adidas Golf, P.F. Chang’s, Brian Malarkey & James Brennan, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Snake Oil Hunter Beer and Hold It Contemporary Home, and changed the name of my business to Bex Brands to better reflect the growth and expansion (and because it sounds cool).
Fast forward to today and along with my amazing clients in the health, food and beverage and hospitality industries (among others), I have an awesome partner (check out the guy below) who shares my love of bulldogs, coffee and Wasabi Miso dressing. Well, the coffee and bulldogs, anyway.
Oh, and did I mention that I am a Packers’ fan?
