Shopify is a commerce platform that allows anyone to easily sell online, at a retail location, and everywhere in between. Shopify community spaces are intended to spark conversation. We want you to be able to connect with us, other merchants and entrepreneurs, and to share your thoughts and ideas about how to make commerce better for everyone! In these spaces, everyone should feel comfortable, safe and respected. We have a few simple community guidelines. Be considerate. Please keep your content and comments relevant to the general topic. The best kind of social media interaction is one that reads like a face-to-face conversation. Spamming, commercial advertising, personal promotion, link baiting and repeat posting and trolling (posts which do not contribute to the conversation and/or aim to misdirect the conversation) examples of behaviour that is not acceptable. If you don’t follow our rules your content may be removed at any time, without notice. Be kind: We will remove any content or comments that are illegal, offensive, or likely to expose any individual or group to hatred or contempt on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, family status, marital status, gender, age, socioeconomic status; or mental or physical disability. Content falling into any of the following categories is also prohibited: personal attacks, insults or defamatory language, hate speech, threats, harassment, pornography, vulgarity, obscenity, or Illegal activities. Additionally, content that is found to be in poor taste or otherwise contrary to the purpose of the space may be removed. Be original: All content and comments posted that are not your own should include the source/link and give the appropriate credit and context for how it relates to the conversation/space. Shopify does not endorse the content of any externally linked content or comments, including posts from non-Shopify employees. Violations of copyright or intellectual property rights will not be tolerated. Be private: Be sure to keep your own and others’ personal information out of content or comments. Be awesome: Each of us comes to this space with a unique set of experiences, strengths and talents! Share your story, give your tips, make your suggestions and don’t be shy to ask for help! We value feedback and want to hear your opinions, both positive and negative, but make sure your participation in our Shopify community spaces falls within these guidelines. Any violation may result in removal from the space and/or flagging to the social network provider. We reserve the right to remove a post at any time for any reason we deem appropriate. We may update these rules from time to time.
