Every Body Eat Joins Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for Food Allergy Awareness Week
EVANSTON, IL — Every Body Eat® is marking Food Allergy Awareness Month by doing what it does every other month: showing up for the community that needs it most. This week, that means Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Every Body Eat® has been invited to join Cincinnati Children’s Hospital food allergy programming during Food Allergy Awareness Week (May 10–16), including a presence at the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Advancing Health exhibit on May 9 alongside Dr. Andrea Hart, and an event at the main hospital campus on May 14 with food allergy coordinator Beth Mueller and members of the nursing staff.
“As a leader in pediatric food allergy management, we at Cincinnati Children’s view Food Allergy Awareness Week as an opportunity to elevate understanding and empower children and families who navigate food allergies every day,” said Beth Mueller, Food Allergy Coordinator, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Every Body Eat® couldn’t agree more. “When a children’s hospital invites you to their table, you don’t send a product sample. You show up. Because for the families we make food for, this isn’t a campaign — it’s Tuesday,” said Trish Thomas, Co-Founder and Chief Eating Officer of Every Body Eat®.
Most allergen-free snack brands stop at the top nine most common food allergens. Every Body Eat® goes further — free from all 14 major food allergens, plus corn, a common trigger that federal labeling law still does not require disclosure of. Every product is made in allergen-friendly facilities that meet Every Body Eat®’s standards, with no risk of cross-contact.
Approximately 22 million Americans live with food allergies, including 4 million children. For those families, the snack aisle isn’t a destination — it’s a gauntlet. Finding something safe, something that genuinely tastes good, something a kid will actually eat at lunch or at a sleepover without feeling like a medical accommodation: that’s the gap Every Body Eat® was built to close.
This year’s Food Allergy Awareness Month theme, “The Power of Community to Improve Food Allergy Care,” might as well be Every Body Eat®’s founding brief. The name says it: every body. Not most bodies. Not bodies without allergies. Every one.
