Ojai-Based Sprouted Snack Brand Selected for Walmart Distribution Following Competitive Pitch in Bentonville

Ojai, CA — October 14, 2025 — Purely Sprouted, the innovative sprouted snack brand from Pure Simple Foods, has been awarded Walmart's prestigious "Golden Ticket" at the retailer's 2025 Open Call event. The achievement marks a major milestone for the Ojai, California-based company and opens the door to distribution across Walmart's 4,600+ stores nationwide.

Out of nearly 7500 initial applicants and 750 brands that presented in Bentonville this week, only a select few received the Golden Ticket—Walmart's commitment to bring products to their shelves.

The event, attended by Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, Yellowstone actor Cole Hauser, and Steuart Walton, Walmart Board Member and grandson of Sam Walton, represents one of the retail industry's most competitive opportunities for emerging brands.
