Napa
Valley, CA – Clif Family Winery, a pioneer in sustainable, family-owned wine,
food and farming, is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Napa Noir dark chocolate
bar. Crafted in collaboration with fellow B Corp certified chocolate maker TCHO
Chocolate, this decadent treat embodies the flavor of Napa Valley through a
unique blend of fruit-forward cacao from Africa and South America, Cabernet
Sauvignon infused sea salt and cacao nibs aged in Clif Family’s red wine
barrels.
The Napa
Noir dark chocolate bar highlights the perfect pairing of wine and chocolate.
With a shared commitment to sustainability, quality, and innovation, Clif
Family Winery and TCHO Chocolate have created a product that is as delicious as
it is mindful.
“Partnering
with TCHO was a natural fit for us,” said Linzi Gay, President of Clif Family
Winery. “Both companies are deeply rooted in our communities and dedicated to
creating exceptional products. We share a passion for sustainability and
believe in the power of collaboration to drive positive change. Our
long-standing relationship with TCHO, using their chocolate in our
Bruschetteria Food Truck and pairing experiences, has only strengthened our
admiration for their craft.”
The Clif
Family culinary team collaborated with TCHO’s Chief Chocolate Maker Brad
Kintzer to create this uniquely flavored bar, bringing to life the best flavors
of the chocolate and the nuances of wine. The Napa Noir dark chocolate bar
features cacao nibs aged in red wine barrels for up to eight months, imparting
a complex and intriguing flavor profile. The addition of Cabernet Sea Salt,
made with the winery’s organically farmed Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,
creates a delicious balance of sweet and salty.
“Working
with Clif Family on the Napa Noir bar was an exciting project,” said Kintzer.
“I loved experimenting with the wine barrels and cabernet sea salt.
Collaborating with Laura Barrett, Clif Family’s Winemaker, to understand the
nuances of their wines was instrumental in developing this truly Napa
Valley-inspired chocolate bar.”
TCHO
chocolates are certified Fair Trade, certified organic, vegan, gluten-free, and
100% plant-based. Their commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing
aligns perfectly with Clif Family Winery's values, and both companies are B
Corp Certified.
