Daily Harvest, the company on a mission to make it easy to eat more sustainably-grown fruits and vegetables, announced the forthcoming launch of their limited-edition spin on the classic fall beverage, the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It’s deliciously simple with a real depth of flavor from organic ingredients. Kabocha squash (Japanese pumpkin) is spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and black pepper, then sweetened to perfection with a touch of maple syrup.
This better-for-you PSL captures the essence of autumn without the heaps of added sugars and calories found in other brands' seasonal drinks. It uses organic maple syrup for a touch of sweetness, resulting in just six grams of added sugar per serving. In contrast, some other PSLs contain up to 50 grams of sugar. Additionally, Daily Harvest’s PSL is lower in calories, with only 50 calories per serving before adding your favorite milk, compared to nearly 400 calories in other popular versions of the drink.
Daily Harvest’s PSL stands out by using real ingredients like Japanese pumpkin, rather than artificial flavors, gums, and fillers found in other brands. It is USDA Organic Certified and free of major allergens such as dairy. This year, PSL stands for pure and simple latte. It will be available starting this September on dailyharvest.com, offered in a six-pack for $9.99 (less than $1.67 per serving). Simply add warm or cold milk (and espresso if desired) and enjoy.
