It’s time to pull the curtain back on our first set of NOSH Live Winter 2019 speakers, revealing two of the leaders from Mondelēz International’s team focused on ways innovation, investment, and imagination can change the snack business.
Mel Gaceta, the director of ventures at Mondelēz, and Brigette Wolf, the head of innovation at SnackFutures, Mondelēz’s innovation hub, will take the stage this December in Santa Monica to explore how SnackFutures plans to generate $100 million of revenue for the company by 2022. The duo will shed light on SnackFutures’ three-pronged approach – fueling innovative thinking internally, utilizing economies of scale to launch new product lines, and making emerging food brands more accessible through investment.
Most recently, SnackFutures has shown that it is thinking like a startup, launching two new snack lines: Dirt Kitchen, upcycled fruit and vegetable snacks, and CaPao, cacao-based snacks and RTD beverages. On the investment front, SnackFutures has placed capital in emerging brands including Uplift Foods in March and Hu Kitchen a month later. The food giant has also announced a partnership with The Kitchen, an Israeli foodtech incubator.
SnackFutures will be joined on the NOSH Live stage by more than 20 natural food industry innovators, investors and entrepreneurs presenting brand case studies, retail insights, market analysis and expert predictions of future trends and growth opportunities.
Off-stage, speakers will be joined by an audience of hundreds of emerging and established brand leaders, investors, retailers, suppliers and service providers, all working together to grow their businesses and the natural food industry.
