Eclipse Foods Launches Eclipse Bonbons: Indulgent Non-Dairy, Bite-Sized Novelties
ALAMEDA, Calif.— Eclipse Foods, a leader in sustainable, plant-based dairy products, proudly unveils its latest innovation: Eclipse Bonbons. These chef-crafted, non-dairy ice cream novelties deliver on indulgence, with ultra-creamy textures, rich chocolate coatings, and a bold crunch in every bite.
Eclipse Bonbons are crafted by an awarded chef for an unparalleled taste experience, rivaling conventional dairy novelties in creaminess and richness. Made with ultra-creamy non-dairy ice cream, each poppable bonbon is enrobed in velvety chocolate and crunchy toppings to satisfy cravings for both taste and texture. The bite-sized format also offers the perfect portion of indulgence for a guilt-free treat.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Eclipse Bonbons to the world,” said Thomas Bowman, co-founder and CTO of Eclipse Foods. “With our commitment to creating plant-based alternatives that match the taste and texture of conventional dairy products, Eclipse Bonbons offer a truly indulgent experience for all dessert lovers, whether they follow a non-dairy or vegan lifestyle or simply appreciate delicious treats. They’re the perfect blend of taste and texture for an indulgent experience that appeals to everyone.”
Launching in March 2024 in select grocery stores, Eclipse Bonbons will be available in three irresistible flavors:
- Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle: decadent chocolate hazelnut non-dairy ice cream enrobed in rich chocolate, topped with perfectly toasted chopped hazelnuts.
- Peanut Butter Pretzel: ultra creamy peanut butter non-dairy ice cream dipped in decadent chocolate, topped with crispy pretzels for the ultimate sweet and salty treat.
- Coffee Almond Crunch: silky smooth coffee non-dairy ice cream wrapped in indulgent chocolate, topped with crunchy, roasted almonds.

Eclipse Foods is on a mission to create a more sustainable, healthy, and humane food system with delicious plant-based products that do better for people, animals, and the planet. The company was co-founded by Aylon Steinhart, an alternate protein expert who incubated and advised start-ups in the alt protein space, and Thomas Bowman, a renowned food scientist and chef who worked in restaurants totaling 16 Michelin stars. In 2019, Eclipse Foods debuted in scoop shops through partnerships with beloved ice cream brands such as OddFellows in New York City and Humphry Slocombe in San Francisco.
