Daring Launches Sous Vide Plant Chicken In Partnership With Cuisine Solutions

NEW YORK, N.Y.— Daring, the number one selling plant-based chicken brand in the US, announced the debut of a new sous vide plant chicken format in partnership with Cuisine Solutions, Inc., the global leader and largest premium food company in pioneering and perfecting the sous-vide cooking technique. Sous vide, which means “under vacuum” in French, is a cooking method in which food is vacuum-sealed and slow-cooked in water at precise temperatures

“We are so excited to be partnering with Cuisine Solutions, Inc. to offer a sous vide format for our restaurant partners and for the opportunity to expand this new offering into other parts of the business in the future,” says Ross Mackay, Founder and CEO of Daring. “Taste and texture are at the forefront of everything we do, and we trust the sous vide cooking format to produce both at the highest quality.”

Currently, Daring is found in over 500 restaurants across the United States, including Juice Press, Monty’s Good Burger, Bad Bunny and Dave Gruttman’s Gekko Steakhouse, Tao Restaurant Group and many more. Full service dining operations will benefit from this new format because it allows for lower labor costs, lower preparation time, guaranteed consistency of product, hot and cold applications, and allows for limited kitchen space.

“The sous vide format provides our foodservice partners with a new option not previously available: Ready-to-Eat,” says David Johnson, VP of Food Service at Daring. “The combination of our simple ingredients with Cuisine Solutions sous vide technology gives our partners the consistency and quality that they are looking for, while opening the door to more cold applications as well.”

Daring’s sous vide plant chicken is already being served at various restaurants like Juice Press, a popular juice bar with over 80 locations. The Daring Plant-Based Chik’n Salad Wrap can be found in the refrigerated grab-and-go section.

“Part of our focus when it comes to delivering innovation in the plant-based space is? finding the very best companies in the market to partner with,” said Nolan Popper, Director of Plant-Based Innovation at Cuisine Solutions. “Pairing Daring’s clean ingredients with cutting-edge manufacturing technology means that together we can create endless platforms with options for all dayparts. We’re excited by the possibilities our sous-vide process has helped to unlock for?vegan and flexitarian customers alike.”
