Noshi Launches Edible Food Paint for Kids

Getting children to eat their food can be a challenge for parents. Noshi Food Paint gives kids agency over their food, encouraging creative play, fun, and interactivity.
The brand was born from a unique friendship between Tomo, a fashion photographer-turned-stay-at-home-dad and Pegi, a grandmother and former art teacher. When Tomo volunteered to do friendly visits with the elderly he was paired with Pegi’s husband who had recently suffered a stroke, and the three became fast friends. As they swapped stories of parenthood, Pegi was struck by the idea for Food Paint as a way to get children more involved during mealtime.
“Pegi and I may seem like an unlikely duo, but we quickly realized that we had a shared passion: children – and getting our respective kids and grandkids to be better eaters,” said Tomo Delaney, co-founder and CEO of Noshi. “Pegi and I both have artistic backgrounds and kids are the ultimate creatives, so it was important for Noshi to reflect that. That’s why Food Paint comes in a package that looks like something you’d buy in an art store.”
Noshi Food Paint comes in a set of three recyclable tubes of flavors: strawberry, peach, and blueberry and can be used on pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, bread, ice cream, or as a dipping sauce. The edible purées are USDA Organic certified with no added sugar, salt or preservatives. Packaged in recycled cardboard, the flavors are all vegan, gluten free, non-GMO, and do not contain any artificial flavors.
“So much of children’s food is loaded with sugar and preservatives. Our goal was to create something that’s healthy, but also inspires a playfulness that engages kids in their food and mealtime,” said Pegi Gorelick, co-founder of Noshi.
Noshi is available for purchase at http://www.noshiforkids.com/. The brand donates a portion of their profits to No Kids Hungry, a non-profit working to end child hunger.
