Diestel’s Organic American Heirloom Turkeys are like bringing back a piece of history. These turkeys are an old-fashioned mix of Auburn, Spanish Black and American Bronze turkeys, which provide the “best of both worlds:” Old-world history and beauty combined with a wonderful yield of meat and exceptionally rich, classic turkey flavor. In keeping with the tradition of preserving these Heirloom beauties, Diestel handles the birds the old-fashioned way, as it was done in the early part of the 20th century. The turkeys are slow grown in Northern California, where the deep well water and fresh mountain air complement the Heirloom turkey’s diet of certified organic grains. The Non-GMO Project Verified turkeys are raised completely free of antibiotics with a close eye kept on their health, and the product is completely free of gluten, casein, carrageenan, phosphates, MSG, artificial ingredients and preservatives.
