After selling its Austin, Texas manufacturing facility last November, veggie noodle and rice brand Cece’s Veggie Co. is making another major change. Cece’s founder Mason Arnold announced this month that he has stepped down as CEO of the company, with president Wade Groetsch taking over to lead the company in its next stage of growth as it seeks expanded distribution and new innovation.
Veggie noodle and rice maker Cece’s Veggie Co. has sold its Austin, Texas manufacturing plant to Fresh Texas, a produce and plant-based meal solution provider, as the brand shifts its manufacturing strategy to regional production amid a push to diversify its product portfolio.
Cece’s Veggie Co. announced today an investment in the company by Walter Robb, the former co-CEO of Whole Foods Market. Exact terms of Robb’s investment were not disclosed, but founder Mason Arnold told NOSH it was a “meaningful” amount.
