Position Summary

Tieton Cider Works is looking for a Regional Account Manager for Oregon and Northern California, to help grow our brand and build strong partnerships across assigned markets. This role serves as our primary business manager within distributor territories and plays a key part in driving sales growth, depletion growth, distribution expansion, and excellent execution in market.

The Regional Account Manager works closely with distributor partners, retailers, and key accounts to bring Tieton Cider Works to life in both off-premise and on-premise channels. This person helps shape market strategy, grow distribution, improve visibility, support chain and key account opportunities, and make sure our priorities are executed with consistency and care. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, organized, relationship-driven, and excited to represent a craft beverage brand in the market every day.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary day-to-day business manager for assigned distributor partners and markets.

- Build strong, productive relationships with distributor teams and leadership to support market growth and long-term brand success.

- Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly business plans for assigned territories in partnership with distributor partners and internal sales leadership.

- Establish market-level goals around depletions, distribution, visibility, and execution, and track progress against plan.

- Conduct regular market visits, ride-alongs, work-withs, and business reviews with distributor teams.

- Create and manage distributor scorecards focused on depletions vs. plan, distribution gains, priority account growth, execution quality, and priority SKU mix.

- Identify gaps in execution, distribution, pricing, or programming and work with partners to close them.

- Help hold distributor partners accountable to agreed-upon priorities, pricing, programming, inventory focus, and execution standards.

- Drive depletion growth and distribution expansion across assigned markets in both off-premise and on-premise channels.

- Secure new distribution, item authorizations, menu placements, and package placements across chain, independent, convenience, grocery, and on-premise accounts.

- Support chain and key account opportunities, including resets, promotional windows, displays, and execution follow-through.

- Ensure strong retail execution through shelf placement, cold-box presence, displays, features, menu placements, tap handles, point-of-sale materials, and promotional activity.

- Partner with distributor teams to execute brand priorities, seasonal programming, new item launches, and market activations.

- Lead ongoing brand, product, and sales training with distributor personnel, retail partners, and key accounts.

- Analyze sales data, depletion reports, distribution trends, and market performance metrics to identify opportunities and challenges.

- Provide market forecasts, business updates, and performance recaps to sales leadership.

- Communicate competitive activity, pricing trends, package trends, and market feedback that can help shape company strategy.

- Represent Tieton Cider Works at distributor meetings, customer presentations, tastings, promotional events, ride-withs, and industry functions.

- Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing, and other internal partners to support launches, priorities, and market initiatives.

- Ensure all sales and promotional activity is conducted in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local alcohol beverage laws and regulations.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.

- 3-5 years of experience in beverage alcohol, hard cider, beer, wine, spirits, craft beverage, CPG, or distributor management.

- Proven success managing wholesalers and driving depletion growth, distribution gains, and strong retail execution.

- Experience working with distributor networks, chain accounts, independent retail, and on-premise accounts.

- Strong understanding of sales planning, forecasting, and market analytics.

- Working knowledge of the three-tier system and supplier-distributor-retailer dynamics preferred.

- Experience in the Pacific Northwest beverage market preferred.

- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

- Proof of insurance and reliable transportation.

- Must be at least 21 years of age.

- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and follow-up skills.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across markets.

- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a field-based environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience with sales reporting, depletion reporting, and distributor performance tools preferred.

- Knowledge of craft beverage, cider, beer, or beverage alcohol industry trends preferred.


Physical Requirements

- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, driving, and working in retail and distributor environments.

- Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly and heavier sales materials, cases, or display items as needed.

- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb as needed.

- Must be able to participate in sensory evaluation and quality assessment of cider products.

- Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory by vehicle and occasionally by air, including overnight travel as needed.

- Weekend and evening work may be required for events, promotions, tastings, and market activities.
