National Account Manager – Albertsons (All Banners)

Position Overview
The National Account Manager – Albertsons is a critical leadership role responsible for the development, management, and growth of all business across the Albertsons Companies portfolio, inclusive of all banners and divisions nationwide.
This position owns the full commercial relationship, including strategic planning, P&L accountability, promotional execution, and national alignment of CG Roxane’s Crystal Geyser Alpine Spring Water and Sparkling Water portfolio.
The role requires a highly strategic, hands-on sales leader who can operate at both the executive and store level, ensuring alignment from headquarters to shelf.
Key Responsibilities
Account Ownership & Strategic Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact and owner of the Albertsons national relationship across all banners.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Joint Business Plan (JBP) aligned with CG Roxane growth objectives and Albertsons’ strategic priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at corporate, divisional, and regional levels.
- Drive long-term strategic partnerships focused on volume growth, distribution expansion, and brand equity.
P&L Management & Financial Accountability
- Own full P&L responsibility for the Albertsons business, including revenue, margin, trade spend, and profitability.
- Develop and manage annual and quarterly financial plans, forecasts, and promotional investments.
- Analyze performance drivers, identify risks/opportunities, and implement corrective actions to deliver against financial targets.
- Ensure all programs align with CG Roxane’s financial standards and operating expectations.
Promotional Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and execution of national and regional promotional strategies.
- Design and implement annual promotional programs and pricing strategies aligned with brand objectives and customer needs.
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness through post-event analysis and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure seamless execution.
Sales Growth & Market Expansion
- Drive incremental growth through:
- New item distribution
- Expanded shelf presence
- Strategic pricing and promotional alignment
- Identify and capitalize on whitespace opportunities across all Albertsons divisions.
- Leverage market data, insights, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and decision-making.
Field Engagement & Travel
- Operate in a remote (home-based) capacity with significant travel expectations.
- Conduct regular face-to-face buyer meetings across all regions.
- Maintain a strong store-level presence to evaluate execution, pricing, merchandising, and competitive landscape.
- Act as the bridge between corporate strategy and in-store reality.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and manage downstream sales resources supporting the Albertsons business, ensuring alignment and execution at the regional and local levels.
- Establish clear communication channels and accountability across all stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including:
- Marketing
- Supply Chain
- Finance
- Production
- Ensure all initiatives are aligned with CG Roxane’s broader organizational strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in CPG sales or national account management
- Proven success managing large national retail accounts (Albertsons experience strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with:
- P&L ownership
- Trade and promotional planning
- Contract negotiation
- Data-driven decision making
- Strong understanding of syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI or equivalent)
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
