Cleveland based gluten free brand brings safe to eat raw cookie dough to the refrigerated grab and go set at ALDI stores nationwide.
Cookie dough has always been one of those treats people sneak straight from the fridge. Now Whoa Dough is making it a little easier. Beginning this week, Whoa Dough Snackable Cookie Dough 2 Count Packs are available at all ALDI stores nationwide.
Most refrigerated cookie dough is sold with one thing in mind: baking. But that is not always how people eat it. Whoa Dough created its 2 Count Pack for the quick bite straight from the fridge, with two portioned pieces that are easy to grab when a cookie dough craving hits.
Each refrigerated pack includes two dough bites that are ready to eat right out of the wrapper. No bowl, spoon or oven needed. And for anyone who would rather have a warm cookie, the dough can be baked too. The ALDI launch includes Chocolate Chip and Brownie Batter.
Whoa Dough is certified gluten free, dairy free, egg free and soy free. It is also vegan and Non GMO Project Verified, making a classic treat accessible to more people.
“People have been eating cookie dough straight from the fridge forever, but it is still mostly sold as something you are supposed to bake,” said Todd Goldstein, founder of Whoa Dough. “We wanted to make that experience easier and more convenient. Having the product launch at ALDI stores across the country is a really exciting moment for us.”
The 2 Count Pack is made for the refrigerated grab and go set and gives shoppers a more indulgent option alongside traditional bars and functional snacks. It works for an afternoon treat, a lunchbox, after practice or whenever you just want a couple bites of cookie dough.
The ALDI launch is an important milestone for Whoa Dough, which started in Cleveland after Goldstein and his family had to rethink the treats they could eat. Goldstein was diagnosed with a gluten intolerance in 2011. A few years later, his three young sons were diagnosed too. He started experimenting in the kitchen because he did not want his kids to feel like they had to miss out. Those experiments eventually became Whoa Dough.
“This brand started with my family,” Goldstein said. “I wanted my kids to be able to enjoy the same kinds of treats as everyone else. Seeing Whoa Dough in ALDI stores across the country is pretty special.”
Whoa Dough Snackable Cookie Dough 2 Count Packs are available this week, at participating ALDI locations nationwide, while supplies last. Look for them in the refrigerated section.
