Emeryville, CA — September 8, 2026 — Petit Pot, the premium refrigerated dessert brand bringing French-inspired indulgence to everyday moments, announced the closing of a seven-figure Series A financing, co-led by Eclair Partners and Terri and John Penshorn, with the participation of long- standing shareholders.
With this new support, Petit Pot will bring its distinctive refrigerated dessert portfolio to more consumers by continuing to build the brand, accelerate product innovation, and expand distribution.
Petit Pot believes refrigerated desserts in the U.S. are ready for a more modern, premium approach. In France, the category is part of everyday food culture. In the U.S., it remains underdeveloped, value-driven, and largely shaped by legacy pudding brands. Pudding still carries a strong emotional connection for many American consumers, often tied to childhood, but it has also become a low- expectation category. Petit Pot sees an opportunity to bring new energy to the set with high-quality products made with simple ingredients and a more intentional approach to indulgence.
Founded in 2014 by French entrepreneur and Michelin-starred pastry chef Maxime Pouvreau, Petit Pot started with a simple idea: make French-inspired desserts with real ingredients, exceptional taste, and an extra-creamy texture.
“Growing up in France, dessert was never just an afterthought. It was a small daily pleasure. I started Petit Pot to bring that same experience to more people through desserts made with real ingredients and a lot of care,” says Maxime Pouvreau, Founder of Petit Pot.
The brand has since grown from its original organic pot de crème in glass jars into a broader refrigerated platform, with organic and conventional recipes for both dairy and plant-based dessert lovers.
“Pudding still has a special place in people’s memories, but the category has been stuck for years with low expectations, and uninspiring choices,” says Eric Lallart, CEO of Petit Pot. “American consumers are raising the bar for what they eat, and dessert should be no exception. Made with real ingredients and perfectly portioned, Petit Pot is a little treat worth slowing down for.”
Petit Pot is sold across leading retailers including Whole Foods Market, Costco, Sprouts, Wegmans, Publix, and Target. This summer, the company launched a new range of creamy pudding with protein to meet growing consumer demand for snacks that are both satisfying and nourishing. This range is available nationally across Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, Costco, and Target.
Petit Pot self-manufactures from its facility in Emeryville, California, giving the company direct control over product quality, innovation, and supply.
“Petit Pot combines a joyful brand, outstanding products, and real manufacturing know-how,” says Laurent Marcel, Managing Partner at Eclair Partners. “It is rare to see a young food brand with this level of product obsession enabled by in-house production. We believe Petit Pot has the potential to become one of the defining premium brands in refrigerated desserts, and we are proud to support Maxime, Eric, and the team as they scale.”
The company is a certified B Corp and is powered by a team of more than 50 people representing over 15 nationalities.
