Acme Smoked Fish Announces Retirement of CEO Eduardo Carbajosa and Appointment of Rob Snyder as Incoming CEO
Carbajosa to Retire After Nearly Two Decades of Leadership; Snyder to Lead Strategic Planning in 2025 and Assume CEO Role January 1, 2026
BROOKLYN, N.Y., July 8, 2025 — Acme Smoked Fish Corp., a leading producer of premium smoked and cured seafood, today announced that Rob Snyder has been appointed Incoming CEO, effective immediately in a planning capacity. Snyder will formally assume the role of CEO on January 1, 2026, upon the retirement of current CEO Eduardo Carbajosa.
Carbajosa joined Acme in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer and has been a key member of the executive team for nearly two decades. He became President in 2020 and was appointed CEO in January 2024. Throughout his tenure, Eduardo has played an instrumental role in steering the company through transformative growth—strengthening the company’s financial resilience and expanding its footprint both in the U.S. and internationally.
“We are incredibly grateful to Eduardo for his strategic leadership and dedication over the years,” said David Caslow, Chairman and member of the founding family. “He has helped guide Acme through meaningful growth and positioned the company for a strong future. As we look ahead, we’re thrilled to welcome Rob as our next CEO. His values, industry knowledge, and people-first leadership style make him the ideal person to lead us into the next chapter.”
Snyder, who most recently served as Acme’s Chief People & Sustainability Officer, brings more than 20 years of experience across seafood, sustainability, and organizational development. Over the next six months, he will lead long-term planning efforts, working with teams across Acme’s U.S. headquarters and international operations to chart the company’s course for 2026 and beyond.
"I'm honored to step into this role at such an exciting time in Acme's history, and I want to thank the Caslow family for this opportunity," Snyder said. "I'm excited to build on the strong foundation that Eduardo established, and to draw on the culture and passion of teammates across Acme as we continue growing the most respected ready-to-eat seafood company in the world."
Snyder’s appointment marks the start of a new chapter focused on growth, innovation, and global leadership in ready-to-eat seafood.
