Out Of This World And Into Philly: Asher’s Chocolate Co. And Federal Donuts & Chicken Blast Off With Moon Rock Donut

Souderton, PA – June 17, 2025 — Asher’s Chocolate Co., the award-winning, family-owned maker of premium chocolates and confections, is partnering once again with Federal Donuts & Chicken to launch the second installment in their limited-edition donut collaboration series. This latest creation is a rich chocolate donut topped with Asher’s iconic Moon Rock candy.

The launch coincides with June 20, the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year and the official start of summer. While the solstice celebrates the sun, the Moon Rock Donut adds a playful twist by channeling the mystery of the night sky.

This special treat features a chocolate cake donut with marshmallow glaze, topped with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and a caramel drizzle. The Moon Rock Donut will be available from June 20 through June 27 at all Philadelphia-area Federal Donuts & Chicken locations.

“This is our second drop with Federal Donuts & Chicken, and we’re excited to keep building on what we started,” said Chester Asher, Director of Marketing at Asher’s Chocolates. “Moon Rocks have gained a lot of traction since they launched last year, and this collaboration is a chance to showcase them in a way that feels fresh but still true to who we are.”

The Moon Rock Donut is the second release in a four-part partnership between Asher’s Chocolates and Federal Donuts & Chicken. Each limited-edition donut highlights Philadelphia’s thriving culinary creativity, with two more exciting flavors planned for later this year. This follows the highly successful collaborative launch of the Cherry Cordial fancy donut, which sold out by 10 a.m. each morning during its release.
