Lewis Goldstein is a funny guy, but his latest project is serious business. Goldstein, who has run memorable marketing campaigns for brands ranging from Snapple (Snapple bottles throw a bachelorette party) to Organic Valley (the legendary “Save the Bros” campaign), has always had an eye for talent and great timing. But now he’s gone crunchy, coming in as the CEO of longtime natural cracker vendor Maine Crisp Co. and re-launching it under the Better With Buckwheat corporate banner.
It’s not going to be easy to build a small natural foods brand into a national player, but Goldstein’s got experience and enthusiasm going for him. Although he’s injected a playful look into the Better with Buckwheat packaging so far, Goldstein has played it straight. Although, you know that once Goldstein finds the riff a great tune will likely follow. And after all that time at Organic Valley playing with cheese, he probably knows a thing or two about crackers.
