Who are we?

Organika is a premium natural health company proudly based in Vancouver, Canada. For over 35 years, we have been committed to helping people live healthier lives through innovative, high-quality natural health products. As leaders and challengers in the health and wellness space, we believe performance and culture are inseparable – and that clarity, accountability, and ownership drive meaningful results.

About the Role

Organika is launching its first Ready-to-Drink (RTD) Electrolyte Beverage – a new category that will materially shape the company’s future. This is not a line extension. It is a standalone business.

We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager, RTD Beverages – Canada to act as the Category Owner and P&L Lead for this new portfolio. This role is built for a builder and operator – someone who approaches the RTD business as their own company within Organika. You will be accountable for outcomes, not activity, with full ownership of strategy, execution, and financial performance.

Sitting at the intersection of strategy, culture, and behavior, this role requires strong commercial judgment, disciplined execution, and the ability to lead cross-functionally to bring a new category to life and scale it profitably.

Key Responsibilities

1. P&L Ownership & Financial Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end P&L for the RTD beverage portfolio in Canada, with accountability for revenue, gross margin, trade spend, and customer and channel profitability
  • Develop and manage annual and long-range forecasts in close partnership with Finance
  • Set clear revenue and margin targets and make disciplined, data-driven trade-offs between growth and profitability
  • Ensure performance is sustainable and repeatable, prioritizing profitable growth over short-term volume

2. National Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Lead national sales strategy and execution across key channels including Grocery, Drug, Mass, Convenience, Food Service, and Specialty (as appropriate)
  • Own national listings, assortment strategy, pricing architecture, and promotional cadence
  • Lead customer negotiations with clarity, confidence, and a long-term partnership mindset
  • Ensure sales execution aligns with overall category strategy and financial objectives

3. Category & Channel Leadership

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert and point-of-view owner for RTD beverages
  • Define channel-specific strategies, including cold versus ambient execution and single-serve versus multi-serve formats
  • Translate consumer insights, market dynamics, and performance data into clear, executable business decisions
  • Provide focus and direction to avoid unnecessary complexity or distraction

4. Cross-Functional Leadership & Launch Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Innovation
  • Ensure launch readiness is practical, thorough, and execution-ready
  • Identify risks and issues early, communicate clearly, and drive timely resolution
  • Foster a collaborative, low-ego working style that prioritizes shared outcomes

5. Trade Spend & Promotional Effectiveness

  • Design and manage a trade spend model appropriate for the beverage category
  • Ensure promotions are tied to measurable outcomes, including trial, velocity, and repeat purchase
  • Continuously assess performance, applying test-and-learn discipline rather than static approaches

6. Building for Scale

  • Operate hands-on in the early stages of the business
  • Over time, help define broker strategy, field execution requirements, and future RTD sales capabilities
  • Develop scalable playbooks, tools, and systems to support sustainable growth
  • Build infrastructure that enables consistency and reduces reliance on individual heroics

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 18–24 months, success in this role will include:

  • Securing national distribution across priority channels
  • Achieving strong velocity and repeat benchmarks
  • Establishing a clear and credible path to profitable scale
  • Positioning RTD as a meaningful and durable growth pillar within Organika

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8–15+ years of experience in RTD beverages or other high-velocity consumer categories
  • Demonstrated ownership of, or deep accountability to, a P&L
  • Strong relationships with Canadian FDM retailers
  • Deep understanding of beverage economics, trade spend mechanics, and shelf and cold-channel dynamics
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functionally and influence without formal authority
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of data-driven decision-making

How You Work (Non-Negotiables)

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Think and act like an owner
  • Take accountability without deflection
  • Value clarity over comfort
  • Use data to inform decisions
  • Communicate early, directly, and respectfully
  • Remain humble, curious, and grounded in reality
