NOSH Live Winter 2021 Agenda Preview: Day Two

NOSH Live

Day two of NOSH Live will be just as ripe for networking opportunities and business lessons as day one promises to be. From industry leaders to retailers and emerging brands, attendees can expect to hear from the best and brightest of the natural products community at NOSH Live, held Dec. 2 and 3 at the Loews Beach Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif.

Here’s what attendees can expect on the second day of the conference:

First up, greeting attendees at 9 am PST will be a discussion with Lenny and Larry’s CEO Jolie Weber. Weber will expound on how the lessons she learned from heading a turnaround at snack brand Wise has impacted her current strategy at the protein snack brand for both team building as well as sales growth.

Next, attendees will hear from two leaders whose skillful use of content creation has helped them grow their brands, build community, and generate sales. Fly by Jing CEO and founder Jing Gao and DreamPops co-founder and CEO David Greenfeld. The duo will explain how they’ve used platforms such as Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and even podcasts as part of a content strategy.

Following our content creators, Ashley Alden, the VP of Merchandising for fast growing retailer and delivery service Foxtrot will share how the fast-growing retailer has used data and a creative mindset to try to reinvent the convenience channel for younger consumers.

We’ll then adjourn for a networking break followed by the first half of our NOSH Live pitch slam finals.

After the pitch slam attendees will learn about building strong retailer relationships — from product innovation to promotional plans and long term strategies. To illustrate that kind of relationship, Christina Pearson of Whole Foods will be joined by two of the co-founders of condiment brand Acid League. The past year has seen the duo’s relationship evolve, with the retailer supporting the brand’s entrance to the U.S. market and Acid League helping to create new, innovative products for Whole Food’s shelves.

All that content makes for a good appetite, so attendees will then adjourn to lunch before heading back into the ballroom for the second half of the Pitch Slam finals.

We’ll wrap up the day with a duo of panels exploring both how local roots can help with national expansion as well as advice on growing a brand without investor capital. The panels will feature speakers from companies including Cleveland Kitchen, Ethel’s as well as Emmy’s Organics — which recently sold to Grupo Bimbo earlier this year.

Then with the announcement of our Pitch Slam winner, we’ll (sadly) be done for another year but eager to start 2022 imbued with new ideas for business and industry growth.

NOSH Live is now less than two weeks away. Hundreds of food brands, investors, retailers and other industry experts are already registered, ready to reconnect in-person at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel next month. Time is running out to join them.
