But unexpected explosive growth amid the early days of the pandemic has propelled the Baltimore-based business forward at a time when founder Michele Tsucalas believed it may have been slowing down.

This week’s roundup of notable new products saw a protein brand collaborating with animal-free whey protein producer Perfect Day, a snack company rolling out Thai chili edamame snacking beans and a frozen produce brand offering the “Honeycrisp of strawberries.”

To meet the unprecedented demand for its handmade granola and muesli cereal, Maryland-based Michele’s Granola has increased production by 50% and grown its team significantly, including adding new key executive positions.
