Chenzi

Chenzi is a New York City-based frozen food brand founded by siblings Christina and Bryan Chen. It makes small-batch, handmade Fuzhou-style potato balls — a traditional dish from the Changle region of Fuzhou, China — described as a cross between a dumpling and mochi, with a chewy potato-based shell around a savory filling. The line includes three naturally gluten-free varieties: pork, chicken, and veggie (vegan). Chenzi says it is the first to freeze, package, and commercially sell the Chinese potato ball, and it debuted nationally at the 2026 Summer Fancy Food Show.
