A bride at 18 and a mom at 19, Anna Lee next found herself working as a fashion model and actress in Los Angeles and New York City for the next 15 years. Fast forward to 2002, when she and her husband decided the country life was the place to raise their family.
Raising four hungry boys meant Annabelle always spent plenty of time in her kitchen preparing healthy meals. She learned that most starchy flours (commonly found in gluten free and even grain free foods) raise blood-sugar and promote weight gain… and that grains can often be contaminated and problematic for many people. So, Annabelle chose more nutrient dense and higher quality ‘real foods’ as staples in her kitchen. The family business began baking grain free breads for the food service industry (restaurants, hospitals, etc.).
