The Original Organic Coffee We are Organic coffee roasters located in Ventura, California. Est. 1980. Pioneers in the Organic coffee industry. Coffee the way nature intended. Our Story ~ The origin of Cafe Altura dates back to the late 1970’s when a group of organic enthusiasts gathered in Ojai, California to live and work on a 75-acre organic citrus farm. The idea was to farm the ranch organically, educate local farmers on organic farming methods, and to develop relationships with organic producers interested in bringing organic products to the United States. 30 Years later and under the same management Cafe Altura remains a family owned and operated business guided by its commitment to bringing only the finest Organic and Fair Trade Arabica beans to the United States. Our production facility located in Ventura, CA is inspected yearly and certified by the Stellar Certification Agency to ensure compliance with all state, federal and USDA organic regulations.
