Emerging Brand

Seal The Seasons

Frozen produce brand Seal the Seasons is riding the momentum of the regenerative agriculture movement with its locally-sourced fruit and recently launched smoothie kits. The brand was founded in 2014 with a goal of bringing locally grown frozen fruits and vegetables to consumers nationwide. In 2022 the company expanded into new offerings and retailers and launched new value-added products, moving beyond its more traditional offerings.

The company sources its produce from a distributed supply chain network of over 70 small farmers located in each region across the country. It operates more than 12 freezing and packing centers and sells over 65 SKUs to retailers including Kroger and numerous banner stores, Wegmans and Safeway.

Seal the Seasons has also raised capital in the last year and intends to use the $2.5 million injection to continue building its team. Due to its unique, vertically-integrated, supply chain model, the brand said it was able to stay relatively in-stock amid the pandemic-induced supply chain and transportation challenges and said to its U.S.-based supply chain model gave the company a leg up on larger brands who often import produce from overseas,

Seal the Seasons has emerged as one of the fastest growing brands in the category, remained profitable month-to-month throughout the pandemic months and seeks to amplify the positive impacts, both for business and the environment, of local sourcing and regenerative farming practices.
