Job Summary:
As an experienced Brewer at Aslin Beer Company, you will play a pivotal role in the brewing process, with a
primary focus on ensuring the utmost cleanliness and sanitation of our brewing equipment and production
areas. You will contribute to producing exceptional beers while maintaining the highest standards of quality

Responsibilities:
- Execute daily brewing operations, including milling, mashing, boiling, lautering, whirlpooling, and yeast handling, with a strong commitment to cleanliness.
- Take gravity and pH readings of in-process product(s) using lab equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, product checks, cleaning and sanitation protocol (i.e. brew logs, cellar logs, daily checklists)
- Collaborate with the team to identify and implement improvements in the brewing process.
- Adhere strictly to established process protocol and SOP’s.
- Perform and/or assist with cellar tasks and keg handling as needed, including but not limited to: vessel CIP/SIP, tank additions, product centrifugation, keg cleaning, keg filling, yeast handling.
- Prioritize, execute, and maintain thorough cleaning and sanitation of all brewing equipment, tanks, and production areas, with a specific focus on the milling space and brewhouse and brewhouse surrounding areas.
- Follow and execute rigorous cleaning protocols to eliminate any risk of contamination.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met, including parts inspection.
- Assist in and/or perform routine equipment maintenance, focusing on cleanliness as a preventive measure to extend equipment lifespan.
- Immediately address/report any equipment issues to minimize hazards, downtime, loss, and quality issues.
- Work closely with other brewery team members to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide guidance and training on production protocol to junior brewers and brewery staff.
- Contribute to production improvements through sharing ideas and voicing suggestions.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations, with a special focus on sanitation-related safety.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Brewer in a commercial brewery, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness.
- Exceptional knowledge of the brewing processes, equipment, and raw materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekend shifts.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in tight spaces.
- Strong communication skills.
- Formal brewing education and/or certificates or coursework is a plus.
- Canning line operation experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a fast pace and remain on feet for long periods
- Ability to frequently reach out with hands and arms as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds employing traditional lifting methods
- Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold and heat
- Ability to safely handle chemicals
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation is based on experience and performance, with a base rate of $22.00/hour
