
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate and maintain various lab equipment (pH meters, density meters, digital balances, pipettes & volumetric meters).
- Communicate amongst Departments when batches are Out of Spec, identifying parameters and potential corrective actions.
- Prepare stock solutions, plating media and other laboratory reagents as needed.
- Perform daily QC tasks including but not limited to: gravities, plating, plate reading, biological identification, PCR, yeast harvest & yeast cell counts.
- Assist/ participate in sensory panels of finished and in-process goods.
- Maintain and organized sensory retain archive.
- Assist in inventory of supplies.
- Assist other Departments when requested (Packaging/ Cellar).
- Included but not limited to taking Package TPOs, cleaning in Production Facility and disposing of spent grain.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment.
- The probationary period schedule will be fixed M-F, once off probation schedule can vary depending on season.

Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, microbiology, food science, or a related field
- 1-2 years working in a QC/QA lab for a food/beverage company or health/pharma company
- A working knowledge of fermentation and brewery operations a plus
