Evergreen Launches Protein Waffles That Skip Protein Powders

Evergreen, the frozen breakfast brand redefining clean convenience, is rolling out a Protein Waffle line nationwide at Kroger and ShopRite. Evergreen is currently the only nationally available frozen Protein Waffle brand at retail where the majority of the protein comes from Greek yogurt and eggs, rather than added protein powders like whey and soy protein isolates.

Compared to the leading nationally available frozen Protein Waffle brand, Evergreen takes a fundamentally different approach to ingredients. Each serving delivers 10g of protein primarily from Greek yogurt and eggs, contains no protein isolates or natural flavors, is made with avocado oil, is sweetened with maple syrup instead of refined cane sugar, and is Certified Non-UPF (Non-Ultraprocessed).

The launch reflects the growing role of protein at the family breakfast table. Evergreen's research found that nearly three-quarters of parents purchase protein breakfast foods for both themselves and their children, while more than 7 in 10 kids eat protein breakfast foods multiple times per week. As protein becomes an everyday expectation, not just a sports nutrition trend, Evergreen is introducing a cleaner approach.

The new Protein Waffles are available in Evergreen’s Homestyle flavor and are available at Kroger and ShopRite for $7.49 per box, just in time for back-to-school breakfasts, lunchboxes, and protein-packed snacks.
