The National Chain Manager leads the sales and execution efforts for chain customer
programs and promotions within our total distribution footprint. Focusing on PA, OH, and WV.
This role will build relationships and influence within customer organizations and distributors
to drive engagement with PBC objectives while supporting our chain
customer’s strategic goals. The National Chain Manager must be skilled in uncovering
opportunities relating to our brand goals and values. Communication and
collaboration with internal and external stakeholders are critical to driving business success
for this role. Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
• Pricing management, submission and communication across total footprint
• Manage inventory proactively through constant communication and follow through
with operations, distributors, and retailers. The ability to collaboratively build
solutions for key packs and innovation is critical to success.
• Preparation and development of insight-based sales tools for planning, programming,
and execution.
Communication
• Conduct Joint business planning with retailers and distributors
to effectively align with key priorities to drive overall business.
• Develop insight and selling overview documents for the program
for distributor meetings and distributor sales rep alignment.
• Leverage category management and opportunities to build sales tools that
will drive programming and distribution for distributors, and
retailers
Execution Management
• Develop and adjust chain call frequency to align with sales opportunities.
• Develop business objectives with customer base by building strong
relationships and having a solid understanding of the customers’ goals and strategies.
• Recap and track all program execution for sales team, distributors, and retailers to
ensure alignment.
Leadership
• Lead communication and collaboration throughout organization to deliver business results
for distributors and retailers
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working with Distributor Sales Representatives
• Previous knowledge of 3-tier distribution system
• 5+ years of CPG category management experience
• Analytical and technical skills required
• Experience with Microsoft office
• Experience with syndicated data sources to include understanding consumer engagement
• Experience in retail account management and beverage distribution models
• Strong communication skills
• Strong business communication ethics in follow-up to customers and wholesalers
• Previous success building business results through customer management
• Ability to build programs with marketing team that aligns with retailer strategies
• Experience building and executing business plans
• Budget and resource management
• Ability to lift and move 10-25lbs
