Seacharrones Launches at Fresh Ideas Marketplace

In their effort to improve the nutrition and sustainability of the food system by developing irresistibly tasty products using zero-input regenerative kelp, the team at Blue Dot Kitchen will launch their first product at Expo West this March.

Seacharrones, the first seaweed based Chicharrone, is a crispy, crunchy, and savory kelp puff that uses the dried equivalent of 1oz of fresh kelp in every 2oz bag. Offered in 3 irresistible flavors, Umami, Salt & Pepper, and Korean BBQ; all of which are irresistibly delicious and seriously habitat forming.

Kelp is one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and one of the most concentrated sources of iodine and calcium in the food system. Seacharrones kelp is regeneratively grown using no fresh water, land, fertilizer, or pesticides. Once harvested from the clean & clear coastal waters of our farm and our partner farms it’s dried, powdered, & mixed with U.S. sourced organic sorghum and rice. Seacharrones are then puffed into an umami packed snack that delivers a perfect dipping chip, beer snack, or sandwich side.
