Planters

Planters is an iconic American snack nut brand, introduced in 1906 and known for peanuts, cashews, mixed nuts and its Mr. Peanut mascot, created from a 1916 brand-icon contest design by schoolboy Antonio Gentile. Hormel Foods acquired the Planters snacking portfolio — including Planters, NUT-rition, Planters Cheez Balls and Corn Nuts — from Kraft Heinz in June 2021 for $3.35 billion, the largest acquisition in Hormel's history. The brand's lineup includes seasonal, limited-time flavored nuts such as Apple Cider Donut Cashews and Pumpkin Spice Almonds.
