Fresh off its “Shark Tank” appearance earlier this year, tinned seafood brand Fishwife continues to make a splash both on and off the shelf. This past spring saw the company’s first billboard in Los Angeles to celebrate its national expansion into Whole Foods Market. The colorful roadside ad draws inspiration from vintage greeting postcards – an aesthetic that carries over to the brand’s forthcoming cookbook, which features 80 recipes that span a range of mealtimes and occasions.

Fishwife reeled in more fans this fall with its pop-up shop in New York City, offering “a one-of-a-kind, immersive tinned fish experience” featuring aperitivo nights with Ghia and Via Carota, Pizza Friday with Rubirosa Ristorante and smoked fish spreads with Apollo Bagels. According to one account, the activation provided “no shortage of samples” as well as opportunities to purchase Fishwife’s most popular products, including its Smoked Rainbow Trout and Slow Smoked Mackerel with Chili Flakes, and funky merchandise like serving sets and hats.
