Labneh might not be the most familiar condiment to U.S. consumers, but the set is growing in the refrigerated case. Launched this summer by first-time co-founders Ilay Karateke and Hasan Bahcivan, Bezi is a Turkish version of labneh available in three flavors: Plain, Red Pepper and Everything.
Leveraging the popularity of other Middle Eastern dips and spreads like hummus and baba ganoush, Bezi is bringing the strained, fermented cousin of Greek yogurt to the New York market initially.
