Lily’s Chocolate

Lily’s Chocolate was always an under-the-radar success story, with solid performance for its sugar-free chocolate chips and bars. But it’s only recently that the brand has come into the spotlight. In January the brand officially announced a 2018 investment by private equity firm VMG, along with the hiring of CPG veteran Jane Miller as CEO, and the debut of a new, modernized look. It’s fortuitous timing given that across retail channels, consumers are looking for more low- and no-sugar options. 

The company is taking to this new identity and opportunity, quickly expanding into snacking confections, launching chocolate covered nuts and nut butter cups at Expo West. But it wasn’t done there, launching chocolate covered popcorn and caramels at Expo East. The new portfolio allows the brand to play in baking, chocolate bars and chocolate snacks -- across multiple day parts and use occasions -- and perhaps most importantly, adds more impulse and faster turning items to its lineup of SKUs.
