NOSH Live June 13+14: The Jeni’s Growth Story, The ‘Splendid’ and the ‘Scary’
Sometimes you have to take a big leap in order to fly. That’s what John Lowe did in 2009, when he left GE’s aviation department to take the helm of a fledgling ice cream business, Jeni’s.
In the decade plus, as Jeni’s CEO, Lowe has been through a lot with the brand: the good, the bad, and even (in his own words) “the scary.” But by focusing on quality, customer service and company culture, the ice cream shop has gone from a local favorite to a super-premium national dessert brand, with close to 70 scoop shops to accompany its wholesale business.
Lowe is going to discuss the way his career – and Jeni’s itself – have developed over the past 13 years, paying attention to the ways the company emphasized the good, tried to minimize the bad, and defanged the scary in service of the brand. Having been through the fund raising cycles of brand growth, taken a local brand to national prominence, and helped scale an operation to dozens of employees, he’s well prepared to illustrate the entrepreneurial journey for the NOSH Live audience.
As part of NOSH Live Summer 2022 on June 13th and 14th, attendees will join together in New York City at the Metropolitan Pavilion to hear from Lowe, as well as other executives, about their career journeys, lessons learned and advice for growing a business.
In addition to these mainstage sessions, attendees will have time to get their own, unique questions answered during networking sessions, lunch and the official NOSH Live cocktail party, which will all allow for smaller, more intimate 1-on-1 discussions. The event will also include the NOSH Live pitch slam, sampling, and more tactical advice during our NOSH Live Bootcamp.
With just 24 days until the conference, time is running out to register.
