This year Asian-inspired food maker Nona Lim took aim at the center of the plate, and perhaps refrigerated meal category captain Kevin’s, making the jump into the prepared meals set with the debut of a new heat-and-eat Singaporean Chicken Curry dish. It’s a move the brand said was made possible thanks to its new owner, DDC Enterprise Limited, which sells its own meals-made-easy line in Asia.
While Nona Lim has approached meals before, selling a Stir-Fry Starter Kit that contained sauce and noodles, the Curry is the company’s first meat-based option. Still, the company’s choose-your-own-cooking-adventure style remains as customers can customize the dish with the addition of rice, veggies or noodles as they see fit.
